Injector
The injector aggregated with the disc harrow is a device mounted on the three-point linkage behind the slurry tanker. It performs two operations – slurry application and ploughing to loosen the soil.
The first row opens a furrow in the ground, then the spreader nozzles located behind the first row of discs apply the slurry. The second row covers the furrow. This procedure reduces to a minimum the loss of nitrogen due to volatilisation or slurry run-off.
A reliable distributor is essential for the proper functioning of the injector. A shear effect is created between the disc-shaped knives and the counter-knife openings, which cuts through all the fibres and foreign bodies in the slurry and then distributes it evenly through special outlet channels.
The device shreds the slurry with special cutting discs driven by a hydraulic motor.
